The Fortnightly Playlist, November 19th, 2023

Well, here we are in the second half of November, and pretty soon I’ll be sharing my favorite albums of the year. There may be one more regular edition before that if I can fit that in. I always enjoy seeing what albums my fellow bloggers feature as their favorites of the year. Sometimes I find things I slept on through all these posts. Anyway, here’s the playlist for this edition:

A couple weeks ago Jeffrey Foucault shared on his instagram the new album from Jeffrey Martin. He recommended buying the album and streaming it day and night because Martin’s album, Thank God We Left The Garden, just so deserved every cent that could be earned. Well, I felt that deserved looking into, and I certainly can’t disagree with that assessment. If you’re looking for a beautiful, somber folk record to sit and watch the winter weather out the window, and contemplate life to, then look no further.

Other favorites here include Wilderado, Fea, Mighty Poplar, Woods, and this collaboration from Dream, Ivory, and Jay Som. If you’re listening to the Spotify version then you are missing the Arlo Parks song as it is not yet available there, but it will be soon.
